Roof Asset Management Plans
For multi-facility owners, BTC typically recommends a five step Roof Asset Management Plan that consists of the following elements to help manage roofing systems from cradle to grave:

  1. Design Review and Quality Assurance during new construction
  2. Annual Roof Maintenance/Service
  3. Emergency Leak Service
  4. Roof Condition Assessments to identify periodic repair and forecasted capital expenditures
  5. Re-roofing Project management – Design, Tender and Quality Assurance

All of the above steps and information can also be recorded in an online Roof Management tool that will enable the client facility management staff to track work orders and repairs, review quarterly expenditures, identify problem sites, prepare capital expenditure forecasts for the upcoming years, and track overall roof maintenance expenditures.
